First EASTS PhD and Early Career Researcher Accelerator Forum

The Eastern AsiaSociety for Transportation Studies(EASTS), supported by the Womenin Transport Leadership Knowledge Network (WiTL), is launching the “First EASTS PhD andEarly Career Researcher Accelerator Forum” on 17 September 2017, 6AM–8PM, at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam.

 

Gracefully convened as a pre-conference prior to the 12th International Conference of EASTS,the Forum aims to serve as a platform for students and researchers as well as academics and professionals to: 

1)      Share ideas and exchange practical advice about learning and researching in higher education, particularly from a transport perspective;

2)      Discuss challenges as well as opportunities for future professional development in the transport sector, particularly to encourage more female professionals into the transport sector;and

3)      Establish networks and linkages with the members of the academe in the region.

 

The Forum proudly welcomes key researchers and experts in transportation and related fields who will present as well as serveasmentors to promising researchers and students (mentees) from Australia, China, India, Indonesia,Malaysia,Myanmar,Thailand,Vietnam,andthePhilippines.TheForumisajointeffortof the WiTL and the EASTS-Vietnam, funded by the Australia-ASEANCouncil of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and EASTS.
